The culmination of Eric's work over 30 years in the industry.

Although Chef Eric Leibering is a locally educated chef, his culinary influences span the globe. Born in Philadelphia, Eric moved frequently throughout his childhood, finally landing in Morgantown, West Virginia. After high school, he came to Pittsburgh to study at the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts, and earn his Associates Degree.  

Early in his career he had the opportunity to learn traditional Chinese cooking from a master chef, which not only expanded his palate but also honed his knife skills. He then moved to Charlotte, NC and worked with French chef Etienne Jaulin at the Townhouse Restaurant. Here his classical training was developed even further, and his attention to presentation and detail in his dishes was augmented.

After nearly a decade at the Townhouse, Eric took a position as Sous Chef with Chris Edwards at Dakotas. Here his passion for using local ingredients was on display as was his ability to create innovative seasonal menus. He also had his first teaching gig while working with Chris, when they launched a series of cooking classes at the local farmer’s market.

After a brief stint in Wisconsin, Eric and his family moved to Allison Park, and for the past 15 years he has run the kitchen for several scratch restaurants. Eric is excited to finally be able to open his own place, and share his globally inspired, locally sourced cooking style with even more people.

Shelby, a Pittsburgh native, has been providing innovative cocktails paired with a fun-loving approach to the food and beverage industry for over 25 years. With extensive bar and management experience operating high volume clubs, upscale casual restaurants, special events, and even movie sets, Shelby strives to create a family vibe that is supportive and comfortable, bringing out the best in those working alongside her, no matter the environment. She is excited for this new adventure with Chef Eric and the feast team, and looks forward to bringing a personalized and pleasurable dining experience to Gibsonia.
